Teams
Everything in BuildMagic is organized around teams. Applications, builds, workflows, code signing files, and billing are all team-scoped. When you sign up, a default team is created for you automatically.
Creating a Team
You can create additional teams to separate projects by client, product, or department:
- Click the team selector in the top navigation.
- Click Create Team.
- Enter a team name and click Create.
Switching Teams
Click the team name in the top navigation to open the team selector. Everything you see in the dashboard — applications, builds, settings — is scoped to the currently selected team.
Roles & Permissions
Each team member has a role that determines what they can do:
| Role | What They Can Do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full access to everything. Can manage members, billing, and delete the team. The person who creates the team is the owner. |
| Admin | Can manage applications, workflows, builds, code signing, and team settings. Cannot delete the team or manage billing. |
| Member | Can view applications and builds, and trigger builds. Cannot modify settings, workflows, or code signing configuration. |
Inviting Members
- Go to Settings → Team.
- Click Invite Member.
- Enter the person's email address.
- Select a role (Admin or Member).
- Click Send Invite.
The invited person will see the team in their team selector after accepting the invitation. They need to have a BuildMagic account — if they don't have one yet, they'll be prompted to sign up.
Removing Members
To remove a member from your team, go to Settings → Team, find the member in the list, and click Remove. They will immediately lose access to all team resources.
Deleting a Team
Only the team owner can delete a team. Go to Settings → Team, scroll to the danger zone, and click Delete Team. This permanently removes the team and all its applications, builds, workflows, and configuration.
